Can't get a minute to read all the books on your nightstand?

Tuck yourself into a cozy room in the woods at the beautiful East of Yellowstone Lodge, and read, Read, READ for an entire weekend!
Bring allll your books and read to your heart's content in a quiet, peaceful woods - far away from your daily cares. A 15 minute table massage is included in your ticket price. You can read in your room, in the beautiful common spaces in the Lodge, outdoors on any trail, or next to Clear Creek.

Got Writers' Block? Need a fresh perspective?

There are 4 private cabins nestled in the woods, each with a picture window looking into the forest. Look no further for inspiration! These cabins are open for your daytime use: first come, first served. Overnight accommodations will be at the Lodge (see below) with a roommate. If the cabins are all taken, there are still beautiful common spaces to write, and of course you can write or take a break in the woods or at Clear Creek anytime you want.

FRIDAY, Dec 6, 2024 - Noon - Join with a small group of others at East of Yellowstone Lodge. Decamp, explore the grounds, get to know your fellow retreaters. 
4:45p - 6:30p - We leave for dinner (on your own) at La Vigna Restaurant in Oregon, IL.
6:30p - Return to the Lodge to read, read, read, and write, write, write!
Table massage will begin on Friday afternoon.

SATURDAY, Dec 7, 2024 - 10:00a -Quiet day to read or write. Take your lunch whenever you wish, and please remember to speak quietly so as not to disturb others. 
Personal Lunch Break - See Below
4:45 - 6:30p - Dinner at La Vigna on your own
6:30p - Bonfire (weather permitting)
Table massages will go throughout the day on Saturday.

SUNDAY, NOV 10, 2024 - Pack, Say Goodbye, Pick up your Goody Bag
We must all leave the property by 11:00a

Table massage will continue throughout the weekend.

There are 6 bedrooms in the Lodge.
​Each sleeps 2 people except the Honeymoon Suite with Jacuzzi that sleeps 3 -
​making a small group of 13 people, total.

*East of Yellowstone Lodge is a gorgeous 10,000 sq ft hand-built log cabin nestled on 45 acres of woods just outside of Dixon, IL This is NOT a B&B, but think of it as an AirBnB: No meals provided, but a fully outfitted kitchen for your use. Bring your favorite foods for breakfast and lunch. We go out to dinner as a group (optional) to our favorite local Northern Italian Restaurant, La Vigna in Oregon, IL on Friday and Saturday nights.

All rooms are Double Occupancy, except for the Honeymoon Suite with Jacuzzi. The Honeymoon Suite sleeps 3 people. 

• Your All-Inclusive Weekend is $375 for Double Occupancy Rooms and $400 for Triple Occupancy Honeymoon Suite if all beds are filled.
• Rooms that do not meet the occupancy limit may incur a fee, so BRING YOUR FRIENDS!
